Recognising outstanding achievements and innovative practices from across the UICC membership
To maximise the impact of our collective efforts for global cancer control, it is important to learn from the many examples of leaders, campaigners, advocates and fundraisers from across the cancer community.
The UICC awards aim to identify and celebrate the contributions made by professionals and organisations from the UICC membership and inspire the cancer control community through their efforts.
Open to UICC members only, nominations are sought on World Cancer Congress years in a number of categories for the chance to be recognised at a dedicated award ceremony, normally held at the World Cancer Congress.
First launched on the occasion of the 2018 World Cancer Congress, the UICC awards have recognised individuals, organisations and projects in a range of different categories.
To recognise leadership and expertise in managing a UICC member organisation
To recognise UICC member organisations who demonstrate a generous collaborative spirit in their World Cancer Day activities
To recognise the outstanding work of cancer organisations in developing and implementing impactful advocacy programmes or campaigns
To recognise the quality of the scientific contribution of an abstract submission at the World Cancer Congress
To recognise cancer organisations that have carried out successful and innovative fundraising initiatives
To recognise UICC members that have engaged in impactful collaborations or partnerships
