Through its tailored initiatives, programmes and platforms, UICC provides its members with opportunities to strengthen their organisational capabilities, learn from experts, share experiences with peers and like-minded groups, and benefit from seed funding and tailored support to address key gaps.
UICC harnesses the expertise of the global cancer community and its own experience of delivering learning and development opportunities for more than 50 years to respond to its members’ needs and maximise their impact in their own regions.
UICC’s online learning offer includes a dedicated eLearning platform hosting a range of on-demand and live learning opportunities on multidisciplinary topics in cancer control.
UICC's Fellowships aim to strengthen workforce capacity in cancer control by supporting individual in-person short-term international visits with leading experts and institutions to gain technical knowledge and tailored advice.
UICC Scholarships provide financial support to individuals to enable participation in relevant events and meetings, with the goal of increasing equity and diversity, and fostering the exchange of knowledge.
UICC regularly offers cancer organisations globally with opportunities to access seed-funding and project grants addressing key gaps and needs in cancer control.
UICC's organisational leadership workstream leverages UICC platforms and catalyses external expertise to strengthen the leadership, management and organisational know-how of the UICC membership.
The Cancer Advocates programme provides opportunities for civil society organisations in low- and middle-income countries to gain the skills and knowledge to engage in national advocacy efforts for improved cancer control.
The Patient Group Mentoring programme offers peer-to-peer support, accompaniment and connections to select regional cohorts of patient-driven organisations.
